I know everyone wants to see the young guys, But for some of these guys on the team this is the closest they have ever been to a playoff bid.

QB is way more cerebral than it is physical IMO. And Uncle Phil is way ahead of the rest.

Qustion for all of you wanting. Riley or AR. Do any of you believe that either of them could audible into a better play than Rivers? Do you think either of them would even know to do it or have the clearance to do it?

Would you all agree that the Pass/Run ratio wasvery different with Phil?

IMO that is because he knows the offense as well if not better than Shane. It's like Manning running his offense. He knows it

Also. Dose anyone remember when everyone was crying for Sam E over Ryan? That didn't work out at all. Because they are NOT ready And neither is Riley.

Well we should try him and find out. I agree. After all hopes, even the slightest hopes, are eliminated
Sure the team played inspired and he seemed to have the troops rally and I expected him to play Monday night for the story alone, again I say there’s no way this guy makes it thru 3 games

You may be right. But to make the playoffs. He is who needs to start. If we lose one of the next 3 we are eliminated. Then start whoever. But until then. fight till the end

I like Riley, but he is not ready. They never even gave it a thought really. They knew it that's when the questions was. What do we do now? What about Phil. It was neve no problem we have Riley.

They have a ton of confidence in Phil to get them into the right situation.

If Phile cant do 3 more games then that's that. BUt he has never missed a game in teh NFL ever. So maybe, maybe

What's to lose? If Rivers by some miracle gets us into the playoffs and we get Buckner, Sauce and Ward back who the hell knows what could happen. Right now I wouldn't give us a shot in hell but if those three can come back and play like they can play this defense could be very very good. Could carry us.

I still think it is a huge mistake with Rivers. He may be more cerebral, hell he is 100 times more cerebral than anyone we have. He is also an anchor on this offense after watching yesterday. He took away one of our best downfield weapons. Pierce was useless. Not because he can't get open, we know he can, but Rivers can not get him the ball. So without having to defend anything over the top this can get ugly really fast. Riley doesn't have the on field experience, or the cerebral ability as Rivers, but he can get it downfield and can run when things breakdown around him. I hope I have to eat crow, but we know I won't.

Steichen said today that they didn’t bring Rivers in to sit on the bench. So he’s definitely starting the rest of the year. I’d say even if we’re mathematically eliminated, he will start.

I think they know exactly what they have in AR already. Leonard to a lesser extent. Maybe they want to see if Rivers is a viable backup to Jones, if indeed he has expressed a desire to play next year. Roster Leonard as long as possible. I believe AR is trade bait for draft assets next year

I thin AR is trade bait. And they can't risk him getting hurt the rest of the season. I think he has played his last down as a Colt barring FO changes

Trade bait? Be honest, if you were the GM of any other NFL team, what would you offer the Colts for AR? I think they keep him for the last year of his deal, if DJ isn't ready for the beginning of the season, you can start AR. If he does well, great. If he sucks again, you dump him.

If he gets hurt he's is once again a locker room paperweight.

I was/am an AR fan. But. He's lost all trust from this FO IMO

So maybe they trade him for a player, a 4th rounder or whatever. Hell they may even release him
