Just going by the numbers...

Blackmon, 66 games, 225 solo, 300 total, 13 Tfl, 1.5 sks, 10 Int, 71% completion, 101.5 rating, 21 PD

Bynum, 65 games, 217 solo, 342 total, 5 Tfl, 1.5 sks, 8 Int, 69% completion, 99.7 rating, 28 PD
Really interesting that they are pretty much "stat" clones of each other.

My guess? Personality.....trend line....or Blackmon wanting more money than Bynum wanted are to factor into the signing.

Seems like a good get at that cost.

I'm sure durability has something to do w/ it since Bynum has started all 17 games for 3 straight seasons (knock on wood). Probably fit as well since Blackmon is better at SS, which Cross is also better there.

Also, Bynum switched from CB in college to S his rookie year and only had 3 starts that year. Not sure how much he played when he wasn't starting his rookie year, but we probably need to compare 54 starts for Bynum vs. 62 for Blackmon.
