Really hoping to hear Sean Payton's name in connection with the Indy job next year, and kind of disappointed I haven't yet.

Anyone else here feel the same?

Payton won't go to a team without a franchise QB

And we would have to compensate the Saints to have him. Not gonna happen

I read that he wants Vic Fangio as his DC as part of the package and prefers the West Coast let alone Saints having rights on him.

No thanks to overpaying a name who would have to defy NFL history to win a championship here (no head coach in NFL history has won a championship with two NFL franchises).

Let someone else break that record. I'd rather find the right head coach and QB to put together a nearly unbeatable team for the next 5+ years.

I'm not anti Ballard, but he needs to build a complete team. Not an almost there mediocrity we have seen for the past 5 years. Since he left KC they have won their division 5 straight years, had all 12 win seasons and been to the Super-Bowl. I thought that was the reason we hired him?
