The defense played like a group that absolutely knew this team was cooked coming in. Fans can be made to believe anything, but the players already knew the season was toast and played with that kind of energy. I read almost nothing into this defense except what a shit season this turned into

The defense does this every year at the end of the season, when games mean something.
Either they are intimidated by the moment, or they are too concerned booking their January and February trips to Shangri-La.
