- School pedigree is irrelevant to the success of an individual QB prospect, but I'll mark you down in the "Joe Burrow will be a bust" camp, because LSU's QB pedigree is far worse than Alabama's. - Jones's arm strength is NFL average, not college average, and his game tapes are littered with NFL caliber throws. That can be improved as well, just ask soon to be Hall of Famer Drew Brees, who really did lack the requisite NFL arm strength until he got to the NFL and found someone to help him improve his core strength so he could use the rest of his abilities to become one of the greatest QBs in NFL history. - The fact that you think Jones is slower than a 43 year old Tom Brady tells me that you have not watched a single game of him from this season. That's just flat out wrong. - Mac Jones is listed at 6'3", which is in the prototypical height range for a QB, and he'll likely measure in at at least 6'2" at his pro day based on that listing. That said, do you want to be the one to tell Patrick Mahomes (6'2"), Drew Brees (6'0") and Russell Wilson (5'11") that they're too short to play QB in the NFL? It hasn't worked out very well for the other people who've tried. |

I don’t want to be the franchise for every aging QB’s last shot. So stafford plays his contract, then who is next? Rodgers?

Most NFL linemen are taller than 6-3. The guys you mention need to have offenses designed to find gaps inthe pass pro. And those short Qbs who have great arms. That would be the three you mentioned. Brees wasnt a first round pick and he had a great arm. Taking this guy in the first round is dumb |

You keep drafting QB's along the way until you hit on one. The last thing you want is to have a team that is talented enough to win a championship but you have a shit QB or a young QB forced to play and costing games. You play that kind of player when your entire team is still being rebuilt. Otherwise, if you have a good team, you try to find a capable QB and keep drafting and trying to develop a young QB along the way.

We had our chance at Brady. Looks like he is about to go to the super bowl again. Although the Packers D did a boneheaded move before the half allowing that TD.

We were never signing Brady and he was never interested in coming here and I wouldnt have wanted him and would have hated him even if he took us to the SB
