He will get a broken jaw the first time he buckles up his chin strap.

Stephen Holder
@HolderStephen · 3h Lots of confusion out there on the Anthony Richardson Sr. situation. The critical points are: 1) He returned to practice today 2) Won’t play Monday 3) He’s being evaluated to see if his play is impacted by vision etc 4) The fracture is healed https://x.com/HolderStephen/status/2...968611854?s=20

The Colts are being very Coltslike when being asked about AR's vision. Which leads me to believe that he's completely blind in that eye and will never see the field again (no pun intended)

You know, just fucking know, that any day now it will be reported that he had microfracture surgery on his eye socket and it was performed by the same guy that performed the same for Bob Sanders and Amar'e Stoudemire's knees, so in other words he will be blind in both eyes even though only one eye socket was fractured.

The Colts know if this is likely to be permanent. It all depends on the exact cause of his blurred vision, they somehow think that it benefits them to keep everything secret. It is pure bullshit but it makes them feel important I guess.

I wonder if he’s gonna sue the responsible parties?

I think you may be correct and it pisses me off no end. Drafting such a raw young man without any apparent real plan, not getting a veteran QB who gave a shit about being a mentor, the list goes on. If you are right it just points out how dysfunctional this organization truly is.

I do recall that in his rookie year, more posters here felt he should start right away. Citing you can't learn by sitting on the bench. That was the first mistake. He was not just another rookie, he had very little experience at the college level. Minshew should have started and AR on the bench right next to the QB coach who could point out all the nuances of game. He still may have been a flop, but that's how I saw this going down.
After this week, when they're officially eliminated, he should see action. One last chance to see if he's more than just physical sensation. See if he has what it takes to be a QB. I don't think he does, but what's the harm in giving him another shot?
