Rivers also has strength in that arm...I was watching him throw the ball 45 yards flat footed pregame. It's just impossible to step into a throw when the pressure is in your face, or chasing you down from the wrong direction. This game was on the coaching.
That pick 6 was not on the coaches or the safety even though it was a stupid call a 20 year vet cannot make those mistakes if it’s Eason I understand but those plays were pathetic. I’m not questioning his arm but his decision making at this point has been rookie like, with this defense it’s as simple as DO NOT TURN IT OVER and you should win the game

I'm hoping that the 21-point deficit and subsequent comeback winds up being a turning point to the 2020 season for the Colts.

In a sense, the Colts got the best of both worlds yesterday ...... they got a wake-up call by being made to look like garbage by an (at-best) mediocre team like the Bengals beating their asses for the first 25% of the game, yet they managed to escape with a win by playing much better in the final 75%.

For some reason, it took the Colts half the game to start playing well against the Browns, and it took them one-quarter of the game for them to start playing well against the Bengals. They are extremely fortunate to have escaped those games with a split, and now it's on Reich to solve the mystery as to why they have had trouble playing focused football starting from the opening gun ...... that's what coaches do, and this is Reich's chance to shine by coming up with some kind of solution.

This is great ........ except that the schedule gets considerably harder pretty soon. After the Lions game in 2 weeks, the Colts have 4 consecutive "loseable" games.

RAVENS: l... Lamar Jackson and Company

TITANS: lllll. Currently Undefeated

PACKERS: lll Aaron Rodgers and Company

TITANS: llll.. Currently Undefeated

After that run, the only really tough game remaining appears to be the one against the Steelers ...... although we do have 2 games against the Texans, whom despite their 1-5 record are always a potential nightmare with DeShaun Watson running rings around opposing defenses. The Titans found that out on Sunday, when they were nearly handed their first loss of the season by the boys from southeast Texas.

I just hope that we survive that upcoming 4-game run, which is crucial to the team's chances for a playoff berth. I suppose that we'll find out just how well Philip Rivers' resourcefulness and the Colts' defense really measure up against the top-flight teams of the NFL in that span. The Lions game is essentially a must-win, considering what looms threateningly on the horizon for the 2020 Colts.

While he might be arguing with himself, the pessimistic C&O makes a good point that the schedule gets a lot tougher from here on out. No easy games left until maybe the last week of the season vs. Jax, but since we always play like shit against them then that probably isn't either. We certainly won't be able to get away with hitting the snooze button for the first quarter or so of the game anymore.
