Default Kelly will test free agency

Kelly has announced he will see what's out there in terms of FA offers. My guess is he already knows the Colts will not be making an offer. He's been a great player for his entire time with the team, but his inability to stay healthy makes him less valuable.

Yea and its money...he also surely knows he has 1, maybe 2, seasons left. His goal is to max out his paycheck to ensure he has enough money to last, as he should.

Considering his has made just over $70m in his contracts with the Colts, I should hope he is already set up for life!

One would think but lots of athletes have squandered money. Or maybe he just really likes eggs.

Hopefully he’s disappointed in the offers he receives and signs and ends his career here

Kelly seems pretty intelligent, so I'm guessing that he, his kids, and their kids are all set for life. But that doesn't mean he shouldn't try to maximize his revenue for his last couple of years.

Also, he could be wanting to compete for a championship, which is highly unlikely here since even if AR makes some huge strides we're still 2-3 years away.

I wouldn't bet against it, but I wouldn't get my hopes up either. Even if Ballard wants him back it's been pretty easy to outbid Ballard in the past (Autry for example).
