Googling the modern era of the NFL gives me 1966 or would 1978 be the more appropriate year, because of the passing rules changes?

Pierce reminds me of Roger Carr. That dude has been stymied by weak armed QB's. He's finally showing what he can do with guys like AR and Mafia Joe Flacco

Ahhh...Roger Carr. My favorite Colts WR from my childhood. He and Bert Jones were the dessert after a meal of Lydell Mitchell. I will never love a team as much as I loved the 1975 Baltimore Colts.

Jim Irsay's favorite Colts team ever was the 1975 Baltimore Colts ...... Jim was a 16 year-old water-boy for the Baltimore Colts.

In 2009, Irsay held a reunion at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis in which 39 of the 53 surviving members of that 1975 Colts team showed up at Lucas Oil Stadium for that reunion ...... those surviving players included Bert Jones, Lydell Mitchell, Mike Curtis, John Dutton, and Fred Cook.

Here are 2 of Irsay's guests at said reunion at Lucas Oil Stadium (Bert Jones and Lydell Mitchell.)

Alec Pierce led the NFL in Yards-per-Catch in both 2023 and 2024 ...... I did not know that ...... thanks to the announcers of today's game against the Falcons for pointing that out.

FYI...They got that wrong, AP did not lead the league in yards per reception in 2023, it was George Pickens at 18.1.

However AP did lead the league in yards per reception in 2024 at 22.3 and continues to lead the league in 2025 at 20.9.

Oh, I might have misheard that ....... when they said the last 2 years, they were probably referring to 2024 and 2025 ...... as you pointed out, Pierce does lead the league in that category right now for this season.

They may have said "these last 2 seasons", and I heard "the last 2 seasons."

I grew up on the 1958 Colts. Unitas to Berry with a backfield of Alan The Horse Ameche, LG Dupree and the magnificent #24 Lenny Moore.
