The is an IR cap. Not surprised, I can see some teams abusing the system to hide players and block player movement.

There is no IR cap - teams can place as many players on IR that they need to as injuries arise - no matter if they are major or minor injuries.

However, what is limited is the transaction to activate the player off the IR list - the team can only bring back players from the IR list 8 times over the course of a season.
