Yes and no. Basically the best athletes usually go in the first round. And defenses have the best athletes on the field. Now guard doesn't need to be filled by a great athlete, it can be played competently by a lesser athlete. If the guy is a great athlete he would be playing on the outside.

Guys that are going now are guys that usually have a knock against them of some form. And of course guys that fell out of the 1st simply bc someone didn't take them.

We can find smaller LBs now, and other guys that need some development time.
