Sure, with a little push, we could be IN the playoffs but making a run in the playoffs? Yeah, I think that gap is a bit further afield.

Get younger and get ready for a new QB after the season should be the focus of managment. I get they are all fighting for their jobs but, my perception, they should not screw the team on their way out because they gambled and lost on the wrong QB draftee.
Then blame Irsay because Ballard shouldn’t be here. He’s been in charge for 8 years and apparently still hasn’t produced a season where the team should go for it. He’s fighting for his job now and finally actually pushing to win instead of waiting.

I disagree, fans are on the verge of apathy. And if either of the two QBs are going to develop they need support. They need to be able to be part of a team and produce wins. The idea you win with a bunch or unproven young guys is and always has been wrong. If you want to develop a QB, support him. Both on the field and in the locker room with a strong culture. By now it should be obvious that always saying “next year” is detrimental to building a winning culture.
