** The official Grandpa Beer belly vs Flying Fish Gameday Thread**
I have no idea how this is gonna go but somehow someway Colts pull of a miracle today
Colts 27 Seahawks 24 Win fir Jim!! |
Official elderly grandfather gets mugged in Seattle gameday thread.
This is either going to be a solid 14 point loss or a complete blowout. The Seahawks are just too good.
41-14 Seahawks. It will be interesting to watch regardless. |
Took the words out of my mouth. Great title. Football gods owe us big time.

Damn, good title. Someone either delete mine or merge it with this one.
Go Colts. |

In my rat's ass of an opinion, Jonathan Taylor is an MVP-caliber running back ...... and MVP-caliber running backs are capable of running rampant, even if the opposing defense is great, and even if his own quarterback is 44 years-old with the mobility of a wooden chair. I think that Taylor will have an excellent game today, in spite of the proverbial deck being stacked against him. o |
The only way we win this game, is if the defense can get Darnold to revert into the pumpkin he once was. Meaning,,, pressure and confusion.

Take heart, Mr. Rivers ...... here's a couple of older veterans who didn't do too badly in the 1970's. In 1974, at the age of 40, Jurgensen won his 3rd NFL passing crown https://quarterbackconnection.com/wp...Jorgensonn.jpg o |
The crystal ball is in the shop for repairs so here goes.
This game and all others moving forward are essentially playoff games barring a collapse by our nearest competitors for the 4th or 7th seed. Rivers has a Herculean task ahead of him but I’m oddly comfortable with him squeaking out a win if we can manage a pass rush that produces sacks and turnovers. That said, I see one of two outcomes. Defense comes alive and essentially wins this game for us. Colts 17-14 Taylor plays lights out while Rivers is efficient along with solid D. Colts 23 -17. Either way the D needs to bring it for us to win. Unless we get some unexpected defensive or special teams score or some incredibly short fields I can’t see them generating more than a modest score. I’m sure check-downs will be a big part of the game plan so I pray Rivers doesn’t telegraph those balls. We could see a pick six real quick if Rivers can’t look off those corners. Rivers was a master of play-action if given just a little time. I wouldn’t expect it, but if he shows out it will be a product of play-action off of good protection. |
A- on the title
well done |
