Tyler Goodson

Was glad to see Tyler shine on the gridiron yesterday. I'm an old Hawkeye and enjoyed seeing him play at Iowa and hope he sees more playing time in the coming weeks.

I remember the 1983 Michigan-Iowa game, when Michigan won the game on field goal in the waning seconds of the 4th quarter. I remember an Iowa player who was sitting on the bench, and he had his hand over his face while he was crying.

Even though the Hawkeyes lost the game, the memory of that Iowa player crying in frustration with his hand on his face always stood out to me.

Goodson definitely had a great game. As did Sermon. I'm sure having fresh legs helped, but great game by both nonetheless. Last night reminded me of '18-'19 where our running game could take over even when playing backup RBs.

Loved his quote after the game on his big run

“Once I saw Q and a db I’m like it’s over, no DB gonna mess with five six”

Yeah that DB made it painfully obvious that self preservation was job 1.
