Leonard has had prior concussion injuries where it took a few weeks to clear the protocol.

I will be shocked if his career isn't totally derailed by injuries. Reminds me of Bob Sanders, hell of a player but not built to take the punishment of the NFL.

I think this was preemptive. They wanted to see how he did in practice and then evaluate him by sending him through the process.
