Malik Hooker says he’s good to go this week. Said he was “close” on Sunday.

Great news. Thanks.

With as bad as Flacco on the Donks have looked I would strongly consider giving him another week to heal.

I get your point, but I just dont think were the team that should be taking wins for granted. If there is a risk, hooker should sit, but if not, play...

I think it will be interesting to see what Willis' and geathers' roles are when hooker returns. I definitely don't want to see willis on the bench.

I think they will rotate and spread the snaps / reps around. Hopefully it will help keep Geathers and Hooker on the field for the rest of the season.

No way. If he is healthy, he needs to play. It is literally his job

Saw this today:

Fun stat for #Colts D. They had 17 guys who played at least a quarter of the snaps. 21 different players saw action.

At safety, #Colts played a lot of 3 safety sets with Willis playing all 65, Geathers earning 37 snaps, Odum 28 and Milligan 27 snaps.

Matt Eberflus talked about this today. "We’re going to continue to do that. To me, that’s about development. You’re developing the players. You’re developing your roster. For times when you do have (injured players) they step into the middle of a game or ... maybe start.”

I heard Hooker on the local morning sports show today on The Fan.....Hooker said he was over 90% ready LAST week and he and the coaches decided to give him one more week. He says he's more than ready to get back. Big Joe said he saw him practice and he looks great...........SO, no reason to sit him. I'm looking for him to pull something down off an errant Flacco throw......maybe give me a reason to buy a Hooker jersey. :p

I love this mentality of always developing players with the future of the franchise in mind. Short of putting pos players on the field who risk losing a game for you I think the risk/reward if firmly in your favor in the long run. It always burned me in past regimes where who did and didn’t see the field had no obvious rhyme or reason to it. Provided good decisions are made in the draft I believe the prospect for being serious championship contenders over a long haul are excellent.

Wednesday update:

Looks like a few other guys are nearing return as well. Parris and Tyquan are now listed as limited participants in practice.

Chatted with Tyquan Lewis today. Said his ankle is feeling much better and that he thinks he could be ready to play Sunday. Doesn't mean he'll be active, but physically he'd be ready to go.

Absolutely- and waiting to hear the update on Sheard tomorrow, Chappy was a bit cryptic today re: how bad the foot injury may turn out to be. If no Sheard, we gotta have Lewis and if Sheard is out for any time, I think we have to make a move to bolster the position.

Sheard was a full participant in Friday's practice and didn't even receive a "Questionable" tag on the injury report.

The following players were marked as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday's game:

Desir
Campbell
Lewis
Moore
Doyle

From Reich today:

Reich says the safeties will all rotate now that they're all healthy. Does say it's obvious the Colts can't take Khari Willis off the field much.
