Judging from his comment that he was surprised by the positive result, and that he didn’t do a good enough job of knowing what he was putting into his body, it looks to me like he used something that included a banned substance. My guess is that you could walk into any health food store and half the products on the shel include something that would get you suspended.

You are a kind soul Kray. To me I now know why Grover has made such huge strides as a DT. I don't blame him one bit, if he had not gotten caught he would have made millions, still might. He gave the exact same answer as everyone that gets caught gives from ARod to FloJo. Bummer though.

Exactly how I feel, and how I felt about baseball and the blacklisting. My guess is 80% of these athletes are doing things to their bodies that exceed the boundaries of their profession and just gambling they won't get caught, and obviously most don't. The incentives are just that great. When they do get caught, they can't just say "John in the locker next to me had me inject his ass with 4 shots of Tren last week so why are you coming at me" when that is exactly what they want to say.

Juicing in a contract year? He denies it saying it was a supplement. Don’t know if I believe him.

Pretty damn disappointed.

Often, once caught, players seem to claim it was a supplement and that they had no idea it contained an illegal substance. Has anyone ever heard that player actually name the egregious supplement?

Right. Plus every communication is coached by PR firms, PED-busts included.

On a somewhat similar note, Robert Mathis knowingly took a banned substance because it helped him impregnate his wife. He knew that he would get suspended for it, but he stated that having a kid was more important than the 4-game suspension of which he served.


It's the only time that I can remember in which a player said, ) "Yeah, I took it a banned substance, and yeah, I knew exactly what it was and what I was doing with it, and yeah, I'm willing to pay the price for it."

Speaking of Robert Mathis, why was Dwight Freeney not elected to the Hall-of-Fame this year ???

Paul Krause is the all-time leader in career interceptions, and he was not elected to the Hall-of-Fame until his 14th year of eligibility, in 1998.

Chris Hanburger made it to 9 Pro Bowls in a 14-year career between 1965 and 1978, and he was not elected to the Hall-of-Fame until the Seniors Committee gave him entry in 2011 ...... 33 years after he retired.

Bengals running game impressed me Monday night....Mixon is tough as nails, having Grover back should make a big difference. Right now they are calling for low 40s with rain on Sunday in Cincy...that doesn't sound good for the Colts!

It's going to be a big boost to get Grover back in the trenches for the stretch run.

Anyone heard anything new on Brents? He would be a help in the secondary.

Do these guys still get paid? Lord I hope not

Missing him isn’t as big a loss as Grover but DL rotation is important.how many snaps does he play?

Practice squad. I don't remember him playing in a single game this year.

6 games ...... so after the Colts runs the table and get a 1st-round bye for having the best record in the conference at 12-5, he'll be back for the AFC Championship game.
