Let's list the potential next Colts coach candidates
I'll start it off with 5, everybody please list some as well. I'm just throwing names out there in no particular order or preference...3 obvious and 2 not so much so.
Jim Harbaugh, Jeff Saturday, David Shaw, Ryan Day, Matt Campbell |

Ok my list would be
Keep Saturday but get him a real offensive coordinator Demeco Ryans One of Shanahans assistants that sits around playing madden in his off time because that’s who has the best offenses in the league right now Irsays list …. Peyton Manning Jeff Saturday Rick Venturi John Mellencamp Chris Stapleton |
1) Bruce Arians
2) Shane Steichen 3) DeMeco Ryans Harbaugh would be my number 1 pick if I thought there was a chance in hell of him taking the job! |
Kellen Moore should probably be added to the list.
I don't know much at all about that Dan Dakich guy but he apparently said his "sources" are telling him Irsay is going to bring Saturday & Ballard back. Not good news for Colts fans. |

Are people listing Saturday because they want him or because they think he’s a likely Irsay candidate?

Harbaugh has never shied away from taking jobs for programs that were in the dumps. Stanford was 1-11 the year before he took over, and they were 12-1 and Orange Bowl champions in his 4th and final season there. Perennial powerhouse Michigan was an unthinkable 5-7 the year before he got there, and he immediately got them a 10-3 record and a #11 ranking in his first season there. They had also lost to Ohio State 12 out of 14 times before Harbaugh got there ...... Michigan has won their last 2 meetings with the Buckeyes, each time advancing to the Division I-A College Football Playoff. The 49ers were 6-10 the year before he got there in 2010, and hadn't had a winning season since 2002. In his first season there the 49ers made it to the NFC Championship game, and they made it to the Super Bowl in his second season with them. I don't think that Harbaugh is coming here either, but it wouldn't be beyond him to take the challenge if he weren't already so well set up at his Alma Mater in Ann Arbor. o |

On Monday, I heard Kravitz tell JMV that his sources are saying Ballard will be back, also. Don’t know how good his sources are since he’s no longer at IndyStar but back in the day I thought they were good? He also said that Sean Payton wants no part of the shit show that is the colts. |

I was going to listen to his podcast and see what exactly he said, but everything after the November 30th episode has been removed from Google podcasts. He had been very critical about Irsay and the Colts recently, but he's also been spewing political crap recently and I tune out when he gets into that. The last episode I heard was day before yesterday. It's been removed.

Except for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs ...... ever since that worthless ham-and-egger Andrew Luck retired, we have had their number. We beat them in 2019 with Jacoby Brissett and quarterback, and we beat them in 2022 with the worst offensive line in the NFL. o |

I hope its Harbaugh. Though he is God at Michigan and will/should never leave.
AndI hope he brings Pep Hamilton in to be OC |

You mean the OC who kept dialing up 7 step drops and getting Luck hit because he never would give up on a play? Never ran a draw or play action, ever? Absofuckingloutlynot. Killing me Smalls, .. |

I wouldn’t mind Harbaugh, although he wears out his welcome after a while.
I can’t help but think Irsays meddling this season will cost us a shot at some of the better candidates. I wouldn’t be shocked at all to see Saturday brought back, which I wouldn’t necessarily have a problem with so long as we get a good offensive coordinator and draft a damn quarterback. |
maybe I am wrong but I just dont want saturday as HC.
|
I'm not sold on Saturday either. If he's interviewed, I think a lot will hinge on his OC/DC preferences and whether or not he wants Bradley back.
I will say that his simplifying the offense mantra is holding the offense back a little. |

Luck 23 TD 9 INT sacked 32 times 11 different receivers had TDs Went to AFC divisional game got beat by the cheats. Next season #1 passing offense in NFL Luck 40TD 16INT sacked 27 times Fleener and Allen 8 TDs a piece Won AFC South both seasons Lost to ball flatteners in AFC championship In comparison to after pep 7 games sacked 15 times 2016 he was sacked 41 times As another comparison the best QB in the league was 37TD 13INT sacked 28 times (Mahomes) last season All QBs take hits especially the ones that buy time to make the big plays. When you take that away they’re not the same player |

In a vacuum, though... this thing is still too weird. No interview, no staff, no system(s)... how could that be the guy you like and not just a fill-in because you were desperate to get rid of your HC? It's hard to even speculate about the draft or anything because we have no idea who will be here. I think I would be equally unsurprised whether we A.) have very little turnover or B.) completely gut it all, even sell all our players for a shitload of capital, and go Texans-mode for Williams in '24 and start over. No idea. |
