Andrew Luck coming out of retirement?

I doubt it, but the rumors are starting.
That would be awesome though.

Pat posted some texts with Andrew’s wife chatting with a friend. If he’s going to come back, now is the time. Supposedly he misses it. Not getting my hopes up though.

And some reports that it’s not true already out there. Someone might be trolling Colt fans.

I will believe it when he runs out of the tunnel

Most definitely a troll, but I wish it were true.

From PFT

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...bsolutely-not/

Charean Williams asked Hines whether he sees Luck ever returning.

“Absolutely not,” Hines said. “I don’t see it at all.”

Without Luck, and with Philip Rivers now retiring, Hines said he doesn’t have a wish list for replacements.

“I trust in [G.M.] Chris Ballard and [owner] Jim Irsay and everybody on our staff to make the right choice for our team,” Hines said. “They’ve been doing a great job and we’ve put a pretty good squad together over the past three years with coach Frank Reich. I think whoever they bring in, they’re gonna be great for our organization.”

The Colts have the pieces in place, which should make Indianapolis a desirable destination for an accomplished quarterback.

Never know, come back for a couple years help us groom the next guy and hopefully ride off into the sunset on good terms this time

Racehorse 02-04-2021 07:49 AM

What I find odd is that nothing about this is being said by the Colts. No confirming. No denying. Nothing. Makes you wonder a bit.

albany ed 02-04-2021 09:53 AM

If true, I can get my home and away Luck jerseys out of storage.

Oh, and it wouldn't be bad for the Colts either. ;)

Oldcolt 02-04-2021 10:15 AM

WTF? It is over people. Having said that, if he did come back it would not even make the top 10 things I have been surprised at in the last few years. Nobody knows nothin for sure anymore

Maniac 02-04-2021 10:18 AM

Nah, fuck that guy

unless he comes back, then he's the best.

Jimmy with the Colts has said they talk. They’ve talked multiple times and I think Reich and Ballard were there also sometimes. But it always seemed casual catch ups, like getting dinner. Not serious meetings. Every time jimmy has said he’s retired.

I think its bullshit. Plus never heard of a baby speaking a whole sentence at 1 year old. Maybe a word or two. Seems like someone faked it, maybe a couple teenagers messing with the “I miss luck crowd” and it went viral. The tweets have since been deleted.

I have zero insight into Andrew Luck. My opinion is that there is no way he is coming out of retirement.

However, we have friends who's youngest when she was around 13-14 monthes old was stringing together 3 and 4 words in a row that made sense. Things like "cookie, mama, please." None of their older kids did it but the youngest one did. She is 4 now and is pretty smart. She had learned a fair amount of sign language as well.

So, I don't know if that fact is a detractor to the story or not.

I taught my grandsons to speak a full sentence by the time they were one.

“ Fuck the Patriots”. My daughter was pissed. She wanted to know why I didnt include “ and that douche bag tom brady”

Jim Irsay: Andrew Luck is more retired now than he was a year and a half ago

It's that smell. That desperation smell... the whole story. It smelled like... quarterback purgatory.

LOL! That's like a woman saying she's kind of pregnant.

Not that it matters, because this story is nothing more than a rumor, but it depends on how "old" the 1-year-old is. Developmentally, there's a huge difference in a 13-month-old and a 23-month-old. My daughter could speak simple 2-3 word sentences from 12-14 months and had upped that to 5ish word sentences by the time she was 23-24 months old. Of course, is always the case for any kid that age, I am using the word sentence very loosely.

Also, never underestimate parents, and especially grandparents, ability to embellish just how "smart" their kid or grandkid is. "My little Johnny said his first word at 7 months old!" Bullshit lady, we all know Johnny made a grunt or babble talked and you thought you heard "table" or "book".
