ABC broadcast in central time zone didn't show 1 second of that Colts pick. The 2 new year's eve broadcast people kept talking and then it went to the desk guys. The name was just shown on the left side of the screen graphic. What happened?

Main takeaway from Colts draft: they want a defense that is more multiple. More athletic LBs, more ability to press on boundary. That doesn't mean they're going man, but they want ability to play more man on outside and press situationally. Didn't really have that last year.
Also when I asked if it was crazy to suggest Colts might look to upgrade over Walker after the KC game, well, I think they're trying to. |

It looks like the Colts are going to get much more interesting on D, Okereke looks to be a much more Athletic MLB who can cover TEs and if what Banogu says is true he will be all over the place. Walker maybe shifts to SLB/MLB on run downs. This could be an exciting D. I am still a bit concerned about Saftey unless Geathers can stay healthy, hope to see at least depth pick tomorrow.

I just use the "Freaks Pulse-o-Meter" to set my happiness meter for the draft. And the last two years the Freaks Pulse-o-Meter has been MUCH more positive than it was in the Grigs days. |

If we did add another Leonard.... holy shit this is going to get really fun next season.

I give it a slight chance because of the shared history but all in all, I’d be shocked. He’s to old, to expensive, and to injury prone. Better to draft a young guy with potential. |

Kinda nice not throwing shit after our picks as in years past

With the 101st pick the New England Patriots select West Virginia OT Yodny Cajuste

But it sounds like it's not a given Okereke is physical enough to be an every down guy. Just from what I'm reading. I haven't seen him play myself. So I'm considering sub package / matchup-specific for now. |

@gmbremer 3m3 minutes ago More Ballard says Bobby Okereke can play all three LB spots. “He’ll compete, and he’ll get in and the best three will play.” #Colts |

That said, with them drafting Sin and already having Wilson/Moore/Desir, I’m wondering just what kind of formations this D is going to run. |

Hopefully Banogu has his head on straight moreso. Collins was just a weirdo and it looks like his career might be over as a result (Ballard would have the opportunity to grab him right now and obviously hasn’t). |
To recap the day:
I love the Ya-Sin pick. Immediate upgrade at CB4 and potential CB1 in a couple years. A lot of growth potential there with a high floor. He’ll contribute this year. Banogu is intriguing, but it worries me that they don’t have a more defined vision for his role. Seems like they like him and his athleticism and hope Eberflus can make it work. As I said, I’m intrigued, but this one has some bust potential. I feel the other picks have safer floors. As GBB said, this at least tells us they want to be more multiple, especially when coupled with the Ya-Sin pick. 2019 could be a de facto redshirt year. Campbell is a dream fit for this offense. Reich must be giddy tonight. Also, don’t forget about the upgrade he provides in the return game. Love the value of getting him at 59. He’ll make a difference even if he doesn’t touch the ball (though Reich will make sure he gets 8-10 touches a game in 2019). I really like Okereke. He’s likely LB2 is sub packages early and could definitely unseat Walker in 2020. |

I don't get the hate in Walker.
I think that he did a great job in run defense. But yeah I can see them breaking Okerke in at SAM or nickel LB and then moving him to MIKE, or moving Walker to SAM at some point. |
