How can you not be a Debbie Downer with Chuckles on the sideline? Seen too much of his bullshit.

Never go for 2 unless it's the final 5 to 10 minutes of the 4th quarter.

The Panthers lost the 2003 season Super Bowl that way, and coaches to this day still have not learned from it.

They went for 2 when it was very early in the 4th quarter and missed it, went for 2 AGAIN 5 and-a-half minutes later in the quarter and missed it, and the Patriots went for 2 and got it (they would not have gone for 2 if the Panthers had simply kicked their extra points instead of having gone for Two 2-point conversions.)

Subsequently, the Patriots kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired, instead of the game-tying field goal.

I don't know about always waiting until the final 5-10 minutes of the game, but I do agree that generally you don't go for two/chase points until the 4th quarter. You sure as hell don't start doing it in the first half.

It'll all be mostly moot if we score the last points of the half, but if the Seahawks score a TD before we score our next points, then we're down two scores instead of one score like we would've been had we kicked the XP.

o

How do you know it will be moot if the Colts score on this drive to end the half ???

That was the whole point of my post, and of the lesson from the 2003 season Super Bowl between the Patriots and the Panthers ........ you have NO IDEA how things will play out over the final 2 quarters of the game. It is a single point that is permanently lost for the game, and it may or may not wind up coming into play in the final stages of the 4th quarter.

Luck4Reich 10-01-2017 09:52 PM

Look at it this way......most of us thought we would be getting blown out by the end of first half.

Brylok 10-01-2017 09:54 PM

Just shoehorning commercials in.

Another bad spot that needs to be challenged.

Before he reached, Hilton was about a foot beyond the sticks. He was down before he reached, but he still had enough, regardless.

TY fighting for every yard... wish that was contagious enough for Moncrief to catch

Not disagreeing with you, rather reaffirming.

Luck4Reich 10-01-2017 09:56 PM

The only possible way for Collinsworth to sound smart is to completely shut up.

WaynesWorld87 10-01-2017 09:58 PM

Not playing for a TD here for some reason.

Indiana V2 10-01-2017 09:58 PM

Moncrief!

Brylok 10-01-2017 09:58 PM

Crief!

Luck4Reich 10-01-2017 09:58 PM

Patriots are not fucking playing tonight but dickehead has mentioned Brady half a dozen times.

njcoltfan 10-01-2017 09:58 PM

Crief !!!!!

Spike 10-01-2017 09:59 PM

Moncrief with a TD. Hell of a throw by JB.

Indiana V2 10-01-2017 09:59 PM

Surprising first half, hope they keep it up in the second.

indycolts2 10-01-2017 09:59 PM

Sweet........Hilton, Moncrief and Rogers has to be top 3 when Rogers is healthy.

Butter 10-01-2017 09:59 PM

Moncrief sighting. That is the kind of effort we need to see from him. Great throw and great effort on the catch.

Doing what we do

Indiana V2 10-01-2017 10:04 PM

Missed it!

omahacolt 10-01-2017 10:04 PM

Pagano lead team will let teams score with any amount of time over 12 seconds

Luck4Reich 10-01-2017 10:04 PM

No good....

indycolts2 10-01-2017 10:04 PM

Ridiculous it even came to that.

Big Smooth 10-01-2017 10:04 PM

How.. did he miss that hahahaha

Spike 10-01-2017 10:04 PM

Pags goes into prevent defense again, and again it fucks the Colts. Well, not really, Seachickens miss the field goal.

WaynesWorld87 10-01-2017 10:05 PM

Shockingly good first half.

Caught a good bit of fortune to end the half with the missed FG. And I still don't like chasing points in the first half, but having a 15-10 lead on the road against the Seahawks with our backup QB is better than I could've ever imagined.

Spike 10-01-2017 10:05 PM

Pagano just doesn't learn, such a dumbass.

albany ed 10-01-2017 10:06 PM

Time for Pagano's halftime adjustments?

Brylok 10-01-2017 10:06 PM

Pete Carroll will make halftime adjustments, Pagano will not. We're not out of the woods yet.

Luck4Reich 10-01-2017 10:06 PM

Right before he kicked it... Colts defensive players shouted Pagano is a great coach.

Kicker laughed so hard he missed....... well done

Hope he doesn’t adjust anything with the Defense... they are playing very well.
