This is an effing ugly draft for the Colts.

Dam8610 04-27-2018 08:31 PM

Turay is a bit of a reach... at least he's an edge guy, but I'd rather have Carter on the edge. They just mentioned Green has a medical issue. Hope that drops him to 67.

Colt Classic 04-27-2018 08:32 PM

Instead of BPA, Ballard seems to be going for "smartest guy in the room" picks.

Chromeburn 04-27-2018 08:33 PM

Had him as a 3rd to 4th. But then this is where the media boards and the team boards start to separate.

Ha. That is funny..... maybe he knows they better learn quick because they are starting.

ZiaColt 04-27-2018 08:35 PM

Oliver, C. Davis, D. Jackson still out there

I hope they're right about Turay. Ballard seems to be high on the late risers.

ZiaColt 04-27-2018 08:39 PM

there goes Jackson

DragonTails 04-27-2018 08:39 PM

Some of these feel like Grigson picks.

We don't need reaches.

That's what ruined Grigson.

You really believe that Braden Smith was BPA over Landry or Josh Jackson? No way. Ballard went for need to address the o-line

smitty46953 04-27-2018 08:41 PM

Pacers up 3 end of 1st qtr

Chromeburn 04-27-2018 08:41 PM

Another big performer at the senior bowl. Notice a pattern? The Seahawks GM loves to take senior bowl performers adn we have lots of ex seahawk staff.

So Turay can drop into coverage, could you play him at SAM? We announced him as a DE. He can bend just like Freeney and Mathis, but he was a bit of an under achiever. He is pretty raw, but he has all the tools to be effective. High character guy.

I dont know. A lot of people passed on Landry. Someone must know something we dont. Also an awful lot of interior lineman went before them too.... IDK Maybe the GM's know more than us

And obviously it depends on scheme for these guys. And if the grades are close. Sure he'll go with need

A shit ton of linemen, don't remember seeing anything like it. Skill players have really dropped in the eyes of the league. I said a few months ago I wouldn't draft a WR in the first but man, the success rate of WR's is really going down. I don't blame them.

Kemoko Turay was so confident he was getting picked by Indy he woke up and wore a #Colts shirt all day.

He went four picks after Ballard drafted for need over BPA.

Chromeburn 04-27-2018 08:47 PM

I would have gone corner over Turay. But Ballard is pretty good at spotting corners. If anyone can get a late round diamond I think he can.

Apotently Ballard had him rated lower than most of us

Per @RapSheet on Derrius Guice just now: “He was described as ‘high maintenance’ and ‘immature’” and had off-field incidents at LSU that went unreported.

He's a DE here. Definitely reflects the length that we thought Eberflus would want on the DL. Hopefully another DL coming at 67.

He and Carter are very similar. I guess pick your poison and who you like better personality wise.

smitty46953 04-27-2018 08:53 PM

Pacers up 6 with 6:46 remaining in 2nd Quarter.

oh well

again

Oliver is the last guy with number one corner potential IMO. Hope he lasts but I'm not counting on it. Gets iffy after him. I don't think Davis is as good.

Ballard just wanted to fix the line and drafted that need/want over BPA

smitty46953 04-27-2018 08:56 PM

Malik Jefferson still there, would not be upset getting him

Two 1st team All-American Guards are not to bad to me ... Perhaps need went into it as Ballard said he was going front 7 on both sides ...

best thing about Davis IMO is just his sheer size--which I guess could work OK in zone coverage

Maybe he should elevate it by jumping on the press table and keeping his arms raised. He is pretty good at that.
