This is the first time this year the defense had to play "prevent". I would like to see if it happens again if I cared about Bradley still being here next year.
The counterargument to that excuse would just be pointing out Minnesota. |

The Colts will be in the playoffs if they win out and Denver loses out IF ........ The Dolphins win out OR The Bengals win out OR The Chargers lose out ******************************** It's highly unlikely that the Chargers lose out, because they are playing the Raiders and the Patriots ...... but it is NOT highly unlikely that the Bengals or the Dolphins win out and the Broncos lose out. The Dolphins play the Jets and the Browns (both very winnable games for them.) The Bengals play the Broncos and the Steelers (that will be tough for them to win both of those games, so we're better off hoping that the Dolphins win out.) The Broncos play the Bengals and the Chiefs (both very losable games for them.) THE BOTTOM LINE: If there is any kind of 3-way tie or 4-way tie at 9-8 that includes the Broncos or the Chargers, the Colts will be in the playoffs. If the Broncos and the Chargers both win 10 games or more, the Colts will be out of the playoffs. o |

If you're arguing what we saw was Tennessee being incompetent for most of the game, I think that's fair. I perceived their effort and urgency level (our defense) to have dropped but in hindsight that could just be Tennessee deciding to be professionals and actually use their check downs. |

The Chiefs just clinched the #1 AFC seed by beating the Steelers ...... they have less incentive to beat the Broncos in the season finale, but they still might do it. o |

I wouldn't mind seeing the Colts get another shot at the Bills, this time with Anthony Richardson at quarterback. More importantly, I would really like for Richardson to get the experience of a playoff game under his belt, regardless of how well he plays. Regarding a potentially embarrassing playoff loss, that's the least of my concerns ..... aside from the fact that nobody would be expecting much from the Colts if they did manage to sneak into the playoffs in the first place, I would like to see how the Colts players react to being heavy underdogs on the road against the 2nd-best team in the AFC, with 70,000 rabid upstate New Yorkers rooting against them ...... people here on Colt Freaks are always talking about needing players to exhibit leadership, so then let's see who has what in a road playoff game against an excellent team with the possibility of a blowout loss staring them in the face. o |
