@RapSheet
The Antonio Brown sweepstakes are heating up: Sources say the #Steelers have begun telling teams that this is moving quickly and to give their best offers ASAP. This could wrap up soon. 3 new teams have jumped in the last 48 hours. Meanwhile, #Jets, #AZCardinals are out.

I obviously don’t think the Colts are amongst them, but it bears watching nonetheless.

Not a chance. Ballard basically told one of the local media or Dakich that they were not going after Bell or Brown. Brown especially looks fucking nuts with his blonde mustache. No way does he fit the character of the team. Draft Marquis Brown if we like him so much.

Oh I agree, I meant it bears watching to see if he stays in the AFC or goes in our division or if he goes to a team we’re playing in 2019.

See my post above yours. I’m aware he’s not coming to the Colts. My point was that it bears watching WHERE he goes based off what that does for our opposition.

Ideally, I think the Steelers want him out of the AFC all together. They certainly won't send him to a potential AFC playoff team.

Coltsalr 03-06-2019 05:55 PM

Darian Stewart to hit the open market as a SS.

Still think we should blank check Landon Collins (Jets shouldn’t be competition for him with them already having Jamal Adams) but it’s nice to know there will be other decent options out there as well.

This came out today that the Chiefs might be a potential spot. I’ll beleive that when I see it.

VeveJones007 03-06-2019 06:35 PM

Rumors flying around that the Browns are pushing for OBJ. Zeitler + picks + another player.

smitty46953 03-06-2019 10:15 PM

Some idiot on twitter just wants to trade our first 3 picks for OBJ... Some of these guys are nuts :eek:

@RapSheet
From Up to the Minute: The #Dolphins have had trade conversations about pass-rusher Robert Quinn, who could be released for salary reasons if they don't find a partner. Another productive pass-rusher potentially on the market.

Robert Quinn anyone?

Robert Quinn anyone?

Not the dominating performer like he was earlier in his career (19.0 sacks, 34 QB hits, 23 TFL, 57 tackles in 2013).

Played 30 of 32 games in 2017/2018 turning in an average of 7.5 sacks, 13 QB Hits, 9 TFL and 35 tackles over those two seasons.

Nice situational piece to help younger kids develop but NOT the premier pass rusher that is going to fuel our front seven.

At a cap hit of $12.932m for 2019 (and UFA in 2020), I would say no to a trade. Wait to see if MIA releases him and get him for less or just keep Sheard for 2019 as the Elder Statesman.

Walk Worthy,

FatDT 03-07-2019 03:57 PM

Was Quinn a DE or OLB that year he had so many sacks?

Rams were a 4-3 back then with Quinn and Long at the ends.

FatDT 03-07-2019 04:37 PM

Interesting.

I wouldn't trade for him. I'd maybe kick the tires once he's released though.

I hate the term “legal tampering.” Either teams are allowed to talk to free agents or they are not.

I agree, certainly not at 12 million, but at a more team friendly price, I would be interested.

Coltsalr 03-08-2019 12:29 PM

The #Giants are trading LB Olivier Vernon to the #Browns, sources tell me and @RapSheet.

Take one off the board.

Coltsalr 03-08-2019 12:51 PM

@JosinaAnderson
I'm told #Jaguars DT Malik Jackson was been informed he will be released as early as today, per source.

Coltsalr 03-08-2019 01:32 PM

@RapSheet
S Tashaun Gipson has also been released, source said. Carlos Hyde, Malik Jackson, Gipson.

AFAIK, he’s pretty decent. Could be another clearance rack option if they fail to sign Landon Collins.

The "Nick Foles" effect is taking place in Jax.

Indeed.

With the generated dead money from the cuts combined with their expected spending on spots 52/53, PS and churn, it appears that JAX is sitting on about $23m that can be used to sign new free agents.

That gets Foles signed but does not provide the cap space to sign any of their outgoing FAs to include:

DT Malik Jackson
TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
T.J. Yeldon
FS Tashaun Gipson
WR Donte Moncrief
RT Jermey Parnell

They can probably RFA tag their starting LG in Chris Reed, however, if they want.

The beginning of the end for this ear of JAX Jaguars.

Walk Worthy,

Decent trade for both. Corbett is probably ready to step up for the Browns. I wonder if the Browns regret not taking Chubb though.

Yeah, personal liberty isn’t worth these types of consequences.

The Antonio Brown saga is finally nearing a close. Sources say the #Steelers are dealing AB to the #Raiders in exchange for a third round pick and a fifth round pick in this 2019 draft. Brown will also get a reworked contract that makes him the NFL’s highest paid WR.

Adam Schefter‏Verified account @AdamSchefter · 3m3 minutes ago
Raiders are adding money to Antonio Brown’s deal: He now will have three years worth $50.125 million - with incentives to go to $54.125 million, per source.

Where there was no guaranteed money there’s now $30.125 million guaranteed, per source.

No doubt. He trades Mack away then picks up AB with Carr throwing to him.

At the time he was a better option. But I think it all worked out for the best. And I didn't want him after hearing all the crap that happened in Tampa.
