Yes. Irsay can skip the Rooney Rule for the Interim tag, but when you make the job permanent, the Rooney Rule is supposed to be followed.

I'll extend him the courtesy he deserves. Every coach had a first time job. He knows x's & o's. He knows offensive line play and lets be honest, that is our huge albatross right now. If this line would improve 25% we would be competitive with the way the D is playing and our special teams has been above average.

Fuck, he bled white & blue, give him a chance to prove or disprove this move.

This is a very smart man who has worked with some of the best offensive minds in his career. He is a leader by example. I am excited by this.
