Yes, it was the 11-5 defending Super Bowl champion Saints on the road against the 7-9 Seahawks in 2010. http://www.jt-sw.com/football/boxes/...post-wc-no-sea Similarly, the 12-4 Colts had to go on the road to play the 8-8 Chargers in San Diego, 2 years earlier in 2008. http://www.jt-sw.com/football/boxes/...post-wc-ind-sd o |

The Colts went 13-3 in 1999, and were upset at the Hoosier Dome by the Titans in the Divisional playoff. The following season (2000) they went 10-6 and traveled to Miami, but Miami had a better record (11-5.) The biggest post-season screw job in the history of the NFL was in 1967, when the Colts lost 1 game and did not make the playoffs because idiot Pete Rozelle set up 4 different divisions of 4 teams apiece with no Wildcard ........ the Colts were actually unbeaten going into the final game of the season at 11-0-2. They lost to the Rams in Los Angeles on the final day of the season, and lost the division title on a tiebreaker when both teams finished at 11-1-2. o |
Its painful to think about the missed opportunities by the Colts with Manning at QB.. How many times did the Colts lose to a team in the playoffs that went on to the Superbowl? Titans, Steelers and Patriots twice I believe.
Those were some good Colts teams capable of beating anyone. |
