Hey Sherck did you get my PM ?

Ian Rapoport
Source: The #Cowboys are franchise tagging star pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence. There goes that, not that it was ever a real possibility. I do think he's likely to be irate over being tagged, I also don't think it's likely that Ballard will pay the bounty in draft picks the Cowboys would be demanding. |

I think we all knew getting a pass rusher in free agency was going to be highly unlikely. Maybe they take a shot at Trey Flowers although I would imagine he follows Brian Flores in Miami. |

Source: The Seahawks have franchised DE Frank Clark. :cool: |

Not surprising. Kansas City is trying to get their roster in order for next offseason when they try to extend Patrick Mahomes. They are talking about making him the highest paid QB with the extension. |

Falcons placed franchise tag on DT Grady Jarrett, per source. :cool: |
Quote:
1) He's already 30. 2) Injury history the last few years. 3) Can he play DE in a 4-3? I expect the 49ers or Jets to sign Houston. |

I expect Ballard to be involved in the bidding, but I could see it going outside his comfort zone. |
Quote:
Then again, that could've solidified Ballard's current approach and made him that much more unlikely to make an exception going forward. |

CJ Mosley anyone?

Since all the good pass rushers got tagged, does anyone think there's a chance the Colts could go after Anthony Barr as a DE? He was supposed to be a really good pass rusher, but the Vikings chose to use him as an off the ball LB. He has all the traits the Colts look for in a pass rushing DE, mostly he's long and fast, and in the worst case scenario, you could just line him up next to Leonard at LB. Thoughts?

Maybe Ballard can pull out a trick and move up for sweatt

Ezekiel Ansah could draw some interest.

I wonder if Rennell Wren is an early 2nd round possibility. If Ballard puts any stock in measurables and the Next Gen combine analysis stuff, he ranked #1. |
@ArthurArkush
If Dee Ford available for a second-round pick, I'd imagine the #Colts — with an extra 2, league-leading cap room and GM who drafted him — will be his new club soon. Here’s hoping! |

I like Ford just fine but don't want to use a 2nd AND pay him big money to find out if he can play as a down lineman.

I think what fatdt said is more along the lines of ballards thinking. I doubt ballard gives up a high pick then has to give up big money |
@AdamSchefter
A pre-free-agency surprise: Rams released starring inside LB Mark Barron, per league sources. Not sure how much of an upgrade he’d be over Anthony Walker? |

Has there been any talk about the Colts and Desir?

@RapSheet
Source: The #Ravens have cut Eric Weddle. Wow. Well at least there’s another option on the Safety market. |
