And our defense continues to show that they actually suck, and are nowhere nearly as good as the statistics show.
|
o
I've said before that good teams often overcome bad calls and/or bad breaks, especially bad calls/bad breaks that appear to be big momentum swingers. The Colts need to do just that now ...... keep their composure, outplay the Raiders from here on out, and win this game in spite of a very questionable no-call on what looked to be a pass interference on a Raiders player. o |

But still, we should've had a FG on our last drive, bare minimum, and the refs 100% took that away from us. Nothing we did, nothing the Raiders did, the refs just picked up a flag, on an obvious PI, and fucked us over and took 3 or 7 points away from us. |

Alright, great bounceback/answer from the offense. Here's to hoping/praying our typical bad 1st half defense has a stop in them.
|
Nice job TY and Rivers, but holy fuck was that horrible defense from the Raiders.
|
TY is a freaking ghost
|
o
On one play, there were 2 really good things done by 2 different Colts players ...... the blitz was picked up on a solid block by the running back, and Philip Rivers stepped up in the pocket to avoid the overall pressure by the pass-rushers which got there pretty quickly (partly because of the blitz/extra pass rusher.) o |
o
It's not even halftime yet, and the notion of the reemergence of T.Y Hilton is already in play ....... he's having a good game so far, and they aren't playing at NRG Stadium. o |

Or at least force punts. o |
Damn, can't get a stop on 3rd down

The fins won the turnover battle 4-1 yet lost due to a p.r. Td, a safety, and a missed short fg. |
I know I'm a broken record, but this defense depresses me. Can't get a damn stop. Can't make anything easy for the team and our offense. Every game is a nailbiter, even against bad teams, because the defense can't just step the fuck up and make something happen. Ever.

Kenny Moore... Dayummmmm

What a fucking amazing pick by Moore. That was phenomenal.

There's your turnover

Holy shit that was a freakin awesome pick

That INT by Kenny Moore was mildly reminiscent of Pierre Garcon's one-handed catch against the Redskins on Monday Night Football back in 2010. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIYDVmwSFIQ o |
Possibly the most impressive int I’ve ever seen
|
They need to keep riding Cox.
|
o
At the very least, the Colts need to take most of the time off of the clock on this drive to avoid allowing the Raiders to steal a late score ........ make Kenny Moore's INT count. o |

That was very smart by Rivers to continue to let the clock run after that penalty, just in case they had not gotten the 1st down ........ if the Colts had not converted on that 3rd down just now, the 10-second runoff actually would have helped the Colts more than it would have helped the Raiders. o |
Did I see some birds flying on camera? Isn’t that a closed stadium?
|
Bummer they couldn't get a TD, but glad they took the points.
|
So damn close. I'll take a score of any kind before the half, but a TD would've been nice, especially with the Raiders getting the ball to start the third quarter.
|
Nice to have a lead at half. Hope the D keeps the norm and shuts the raiders down n the second half.
Still think this one will be close Had reservations in Sodas Picks on who to take. |
o
That play by the Raiders' defensive back to force the incompletion actually helped the Colts more than it helped the Raiders ........ if he had let him catch the ball and tackled him, the Colts would have had to use their final time out and kick the field goal right away. As it was the incompletion stopped the clock, which allowed the Colts keep their timeout in their pocket and run one more play from scrimmage to try to get the TD. It wound up falling one yard shy of costing the Raiders 4 points. o |
I’m honestly surprised Reich didn’t go for it there. Maybe he is gun shy after that try last time.
|
We should still have 7 more pts, that non PI call still pisses me off

Even Frank Riech's ultra-brazen coaching style has its limits ........ after Kenny Moore's INT denied the Raiders a chip-shot field goal on the previous drive, I think that you have to make sure that you come away with points right there to rub salt into the Raiders' wounds to accentuate the momentum swing. o |
Let's hope the Colts defense can continue their second half performance.
|
3 and out lets go
