First off, when did we start giving demerits for having a hot girlfriend?

Second, name me a few players whose draft stock plummeted who looked happy and chipper when ESPN’s draft camera panned over them in the green room.

The Colts have a person in their front office that only assesses the mental aspect of each player in the draft process. They would've taken Eason off their board if they didn't feel he had the work ethic and character to succeed in the NFL. That's something no one but front offices have the ability to assess, so you have to trust that they made that call correctly, and it's something they've been fairly good at assessing.

Under Ballard...yes. Grigson was a disaster in that department.

Colts trade pick 6.182 to the Cheats for picks 6.212 and 6.213

They must have a big mess of guys they think are good value and will still be there.

Get 3 guys instead on 2 for depth. Works for me.

Hunter Bryant, Prince Tega Wanagho, Kenny Wllekes?

Maybe he should be like all those QB's with ugly girlfriends

I wouldn't mind the trade if it was with any other team, just not those bastards. It's like selling your soul!

Rob Windsor, anyone know anything about him, other than he played for Penn State?

Robert Windsor DT, Penn State

Suppose to have some 1-gap penetration skills. Might be a future replacement for Autry.

That's all he has ever shown too... time to move on from the long QB.

Why move on now?

Brissett's value is the least it will ever be with every team finding their QB in free agency and the draft.

Wait until a few weeks into the season when QB 1's and QB 2's start going down.

Ironshaft 04-25-2020 04:32 PM

It is obvious the more we see of Ballard's picks that he uses a different measuring stick than most folks.

Blackmon, Pinter, Windsor. All athletic but all with fairly limited experience or skill sets. High character appears to trump experience.

In Ballard I trust but Windsor would probably have been available as a UDFA.

Different measuring stick.

I would have liked to have seen us take KJ Hill there. Fingers crossed he's still around at the end of the 6th and we take him then.

Please no more OSU players. When has one OSU player ever lived up to has draft status with the Colts?

High character means “coachable”

Yeah, it seems like he always takes some guys not on any of the published draft boards who he seemingly could take later on or pick up as an UDFA. Sometimes this has worked out (Leonard) and sometimes it hasn't (Grover Stewart).

I suppose we haven't had much luck w/ OSU, but I think a 6th rounder for a really good slot receiver would be worth it.

Grover is our starting NT. I would say that is pretty good.

A 4th round pick who has grown into a border line starter. Not a bad thing

Colts traded away CB Quincy Wilson to the Jets for the 211th pick, which they used to pick DB Isaiah Rodgers.

The Jets are practically former Colts.

To be fair a lot of those were/are good players but had some back luck with injuries.

Chromeburn 04-25-2020 05:36 PM

Took a lot of PAC-12 players this draft.

smitty46953 04-25-2020 05:51 PM

Dezmon Patmon, WR from Washington State

Can say I never heard of him

IndyNorm 04-25-2020 06:10 PM

I wonder what the deal is with Trey Adams, OT Wash, and Hunter Bryant, TE Wash. Per ESPN both have 3rd round draft grades and are still on the board.

NFL executives don't watch ESPN?

Might be why Kiper works for ESPN and not a NFL team...

Almost all have had bad luck with injuries, except Quitcock, who possibly injured his thumbs playing video games.

I would call it the Art Schichter curse but he was drafted 1 year before the Colts moved to Indy.

I hate OSU and their players have haunted us.

There were some bad draft picks in there as well. I don't hate OSU but not a fan either. I just think KJ Hill will be a really good slot receiver and a steal at where he was drafted. Wish we had picked him up with one of the 6th rounders we had.

What the hell is wrong with Kiper anyway? He looked and acted like a guy who was either on a 5 day meth binge or has a serious nerve condition.
