Jonathan Taylor is one TD behind Lenny Moore for rushing TD's in Colts franchise history (1953 - Present.) Lenny Moore had 48 receiving TD's though, while Taylor only has 6. https://www.notinhalloffame.com/medi...d3606d5_L.webp o |
Way too easy.
The pass defense already sucks. If the run defense starts sucking, it’s going to be a problem. |
Equally, or perhaps even more amazing, he is only two rushing TD behind Larry Czonka.

Not too long ago, I would be nervous about the Colts having a 14-point lead ...... now, I'm not nervous with them having a 3-point lead. o |
The Tits were not sagging that bad, in fact on that drive they looked perky!:D

Nevermind. I cannot type that lie! :) |
Crazy catch, MP!

Sports Center for Pittman!

If that Pittman catch doesn't remind you of Reggie Wayne vs. the Patriots, then you weren't there when.
|
How did Pitt catch that?
|
Everybody now...
Michael Pittman Jr. is a BEAST! |

Taylor is arguably the best running back in the NFL, but you need to take into consideration all of the rules changes since 1974 when comparing statistics of past players to present players. Csonka was a rookie in 1978, and left to play in the WFL after the 1974 season. Also, they only played 14-game schedules back then. A) ) Prior to 1974, a defensive player could hit a receiver an unlimited number of times down-field, so long as the ball was not in the air. Starting in 1974, the most severe rule change regarding pass receivers and defenders was enacted ...... a player could only make contact 2 times overall, and one time beyond 3 yards of the line of scrimmage. This makes one appreciate what Otto Graham, Johnny Unitas, Fran Tarkenton, Bart Starr, Sonny Jurgensen, etc. accomplished. These quarterbacks all had most or all of their careers played prior to the 1974 season. B) ) In 1977, the rule was amended to aid the pass receivers again. Starting that season, a defender could only make contact with a receiver one time ...... whether it be within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage, or further downfield. C) ) In 1978, the rule was amended to aid the pass receivers yet again. Starting that season, a defender could make contact with a receiver only one time, and within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. If the defender made contact with a receiver 6 yards or more from the line of scrimmage, it was now considered to be pass interference (and/or defensive holding), even if the ball was not yet in the air. * ) In the last 10-15 years (circa 2005 through the present), more rule changes protecting both the receivers and the quarterbacks has allowed offensive statistics to increase even higher than they already had been. o |

What a fucking catch by Pittman! Second top 10 Olay worthy catch of the drive!
|
The Colts can kill you on the ground (first TD drive).....
The Colts can kill you through the air (second TD drive)..... This offense is special. |
o
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Those rules changes didn't just affect the QB's and the receivers, they exponentially made things easier for the entire offensive side of the ball, including the run-game. o |
o
We got lucky on that 3rd-and-14 ...... the quarterback had plenty of time to throw, and the receiver was wide-open. o |
Nice defensive stand.
Now lets go up by 17. |

Colts punter may have the best job in the entire league!

He had time to throw. He just missed that pass. o |

Ugh!
JT averaging almost 10 yards per carry. Why not feed him on 1st or 2nd down? 3 straight passes.... |
Hope Jones didn’t get concussed on that sack. His head hit the turf pretty hard.
|
o
God job by Jones to eat the ball, and live to see another day. o |

Horrible slam to the head there. Looked like he grabbed at it too. Get your buttholes ready.

How about running the ball a little Steichen. Damn

The Cowboys just cut the Broncos' lead to 14-10 with a TD. o |

He is not going to the tent so, that is good news.

DJ is fine, I think it looked worse than it was.....

I'm going to get all optimistic and say that the offense's failure on that set of downs will inadvertently be a good test for the Colts' defense to show something. o |

I do not understand holding. Our guys were tackled, and no flag
|
So the tackling of our d-lineman wasn't a hold?
