The Texans have made an interesting choice for its head coach - David Culley.
This is the first time he has been a head coach at the pro or college level.
In his entire career, he has only been an Offensive Coordinator one year - over 20 years ago at UTEP.
Saw a rumor that Leslie Frazier (another candidate with multiple interviews) had asked the Texans for a longer term - more years on the contract. Any head coaching candidate should have demanded a Matt Rhule type contract - 7 years. Obviously it wouldn't guarantee that the coach would reach the end of the contract but it may make the Texans think twice about firing too early.
