The only other 2 AFC franchises to equal or better that have been the New England Patriots with 8 straights trips from 2011 through 2018, and the Oakland Raiders with 5 straight trips from 1973 through 1977.

In the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys made 4 consecutive trips to the NFC championship game twice, from 1970 through 1973 and from 1992 through 1995. The Philadelphia Eagles accomplished the feat once, from 2001 through 2004.

There is still a loooooong way to go on that 10-year contract extension that Mahomes signed back in July of 2020.

The contract does not expire until after the 2031 season ...... but so far, so good for the team from western Missouri.
