just needed one more first down and they played it like a bunch of pussies.

Why go get Rivers and then make those calls.

I am not gonna bitch about this game. My team played their hearts out and should be very proud. Good clock management by Seattle on our last drive.

There's that Colts defense we know. Absolutely can not get off the fucking field when you absolutely needed it. The experiment with Rivers needs to end today. He can't roll out. He can't scramble. He can't throw it more than 15 yards. No zip on the ones he does throw. I do not give a fuck about feel good stories, or atta boys we almost got it!

In my rat's ass of an opinion, Jonathan Taylor is an MVP-caliber running back ...... and MVP-caliber running backs are capable of running rampant, even if the opposing defense is great, and even if his own quarterback is 44 years-old with the mobility of a wooden chair.

I think that Taylor will have an excellent game today, in spite of the proverbial deck being stacked against him.

Taylor didn't run rampant, but he still had an excellent game ...... he really did well to keep a lot of pressure off of Philip Rivers.

Yeah, I agree. That was painful to watch.

7-1 to 8-6 Ballard status?

From 7-1 to 8-6. I assume if(when) they miss playoffs Ballard is gone.

I thought we'd get smoked today, so the loss isn't surprising in the least. But to come so damn close only to lose like that turns into what I thought was going to be a "no sweat, who cares, stress free" loss into a crushing, "fuck this shit" loss.

That more-or-less ends/kills our playoff hopes so now I can really go into "fuck it" mode.

Has a team ever had this big of a collapse? We were 8-2 and legitimately looked like the best team in the NFL. Our point-differential through the first, what, 8 or 9 games was historic? All indicators pointed to us winning 12+ games and making the playoffs. Yet, at the same time, is anyone surprised this has happened? Obviously the Jones injury made this loss eminent, but this has to be up there with one of the worst collapses in NFL history, yet for some reason not surprising.

I'm getting some vibes that are somewhat reminiscent from the 2014 Colts' upset win over Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos in that season's divisional playoff game in Denver ...... the underdog road team in the all-white uniforms are hanging in there in a big road game, as they did in that game 11 years ago.

I'm also getting some vibes that are reminiscent of Jim Harbaugh's 1995 team in the 1995 AFC Championship game against the Steelers ....... the underdog road team in the all-white uniforms literally hung in there until the final play of that game.

Alas, it turned out like the 1995 AFC Championship game ...... such a valiant effort, such a heartbreaking loss, and such an easy team to love.
