As for running QB's, they get hurt eventually. The more hits a QB takes, the shorter his career. Jackson is an exciting dynamic player. His kind only come out every so often. Vick was the last guy like that. Still it only takes one hit and that hit will happen eventually. There is a reason Drew Brees and Tom Brady are still playing and giving their teams a chance to win. I would take a scrambler fine, I would definitely take a pocket passer. Everyone will follow the Jackson trend for awhile and then we will have a slew of injuries at the position and some pocket passer will come along tearing up the league and the trend will shift again. Just find the best QB you can and build around his style. |

I want a quarterback who can read defenses like Peyton Manning, who is as tough as Ben Roethlisberger, who can throw as hard as Bert Jones or as soft and easy as Jim Plunkett, who is as mobile as Michael Vick, Randall Cunningham, and Fran Tarkenton, and who has the brains of Andrew Luck ........ I plan on making a deal with Mr. Rourke on Fantasy Island. o |

You lose your love of something, you can't just go out there and be great. He was HONEST with the team and himself. You can't just like football and be great at it. It hurts too much. You need to love it. I've been able to do something I love for a long time and I still love it. But it's getting harder. I can see where things will change for me. Football is so unforgiving. One day you have it and after a single play, things can change. I know what I have said won't change anything. For some you won't understand it until what you love is taken from you. |
