Have to cement his hall of fame jacket, ever since he got here he’s been the story, not the team, not honoring Jim, not Jonathan Taylor, It’s been all about Rivers

They are both fighting each other for the division title, as they are currently 1/2 of a game apart from each other. So losing to the Colts for either one of them would be a kick in their nuts ...... or at least a stomp on their toes. And if the division title is on the line next Sunday, I don't think that the Texans will rest their starters.

If colts beat Jags then turn around and beat Texans, jags win the division there’s no embarrassment no spoiler… nothing. Jags beat colts they win the division, so then colts will be playing Texans backups, no real kick in the nuts winning that game either.

So basically the Colts got all the attention and early praise meanwhile the jags were quietly going about their business until a Coach that has no respect and can’t handle success set the table for them to go on a playoff run

I said that the Colts' season was over.

And I said that the only thing left to do for the Colts was to play spoiler, and kick the Jaguars and/or the Texans in the nuts.

Both of those statements are true ...... the Colts' season is over, and the Colts can only play spoiler in their final 2 games. Most importantly, the Colts' season is over.

You will have enough job security to do the job and all GMs I assume have a healthy ego and believe they can turn a franchise around. There are no GM jobs available where there aren't issue with the franchise.

If Ballard is shown the door I think the position would be very desirable. Where else could a candidate successfully pitch a ten year plan?

That’s gotta be the most epic collapse in NFL history.

We are the 3rd team in NFL history to start 7-1 and miss the playoffs.

However, we could be the first NFL team to start 7-1 and, if we lose the last two, end with a season record under .500.

Ahhh, the history the Colts make!!

Who is going to play? Who is going to be the backup?

Rivers would just go home if he isnt starting. AR is on IR

I really hope you all get your wish and get to see how much Riley is not a starting QB in the NFL.

The coaches and FO are still playing for their jobs. They need to win. With Rivers they can show they can win with a good QB.

Riley was never brought in to be a starter IMO. He was a late round pick to run the practice squad and as an emergency QB

Again I like Riley. But he is not a starting NFL QB.

Well unfortunately the guy that was brought in to be the QB, drafted 4th overall can’t stay on the field, can’t read a defense, doesn’t wanna put in the work to become great so here we are.

Things can change regardless of where a guy was drafted and what the “vision” is for the guy. This is the perfect opportunity to see what he can do, no pressure situation just go out there and let it fly.

Rivers playing good does nothing for building next season, I’m sure Steichen is all in on his buddy Daniel Jones which I think would be a huge mistake, so either way it all goes back to Leonard

Puck 12-28-2025 01:27 PM

AR is not cleared to play. No idea why you would be dogging Jones. He's proven he can play very well. The guy toughed it out on a broken leg.

Rivers playing gives players a chance to get their incentives. If there are any.

Will we see Riley today? Maybe. But he didn't get the 1st team reps. So Im guessing he starts next week. Maybe AR gets activated Who knows. BUt if he gets hurt then he spends the offseason on rehab ONCE AGAIN.

And we will all see he is not ready. Coaches know it or he would be playing. It's obvious to some of us. But some need a visual to understand.

I've said from the jump Leonard can't play at this level- he can't sustain drives from the pocket.

This is exactly the problem:

"The coaches and FO are still playing for their jobs. They need to win. With Rivers they can show they can win with a good QB."

They shouldn't be, they should have a clear unmet ultimatum: PLAYOFFS OR UNEMPLOYMENT.

So what, Rivers wins another game, or maybe 2, so the terrible draft situation gets even worse? Nah man, fuck these two.

It's time for them to go and for someone else to try to make things better here.
